Three restaurants at Beau Rivage Resort Casino win Wine Spectator Awards

(PRESS RELEASE) — Beau Rivage Resort & Casino’s three fine dining restaurants have each been honored for their outstanding wine programs in Wine Spectator’s 2020 Restaurant Awards, featured in the July issue on newsstands now. The annual program, which recognizes restaurants around the world as the top destinations for wine lovers, named just five Coastal Mississippi and 14 restaurants statewide this year.

“The 2020 Wine Spectator Restaurant Award program celebrates restaurants’ resilience, dedication and bravery during these unprecedented times,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher, Wine Spectator. “We hope that all of our award winners and the people who make them special will find their way through the crisis to once again welcome us through their doors. We look forward to raising a glass together, and to new beginnings.”

This year, BR Prime, Stalla and Jia each received the Award of Excellence. This award recognizes restaurants whose wine lists feature a well-chose assortment of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.

To win a Wine Spectator Award, a restaurant must offer a wine list that includes wines appropriate to its cuisine while appealing to a wide range of wine lovers. To qualify, the list must present complete and accurate wine information including vintages and appellations for all selections, including wines by the glass. After meeting these basic requirements, lists are judged for one of Wine Spectator’s three awards, the Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence, and highest Grand Award.
